Smoothies are a big hit in our house, especially this smoothie treat – the caramel choc banana smoothie

A great additive free afternoon snack! I love them because they are so quick and easy and you can add SO many ingredients into the smoothie, packing it full of goodness!

The great thing with smoothies is you can get the kids involved choosing the ingredients – they are a lot of fun!

So much so, that my boys look forward to having a smoothie everyday after school!

You really can’t go wrong with experimenting with a smoothie.

For this one, the boys were keen for a banana and chocolate smoothie and I felt like jazzing it up a little with some caramel! (Bonne Maman caramel – sold in independent supermarkets across Australia).

Yum!

Ingredients:

1 litre milk of your choice (cow, rice, almond)
3 ripe bananas (frozen or fresh)
2 heaped tablespoons organic yoghurt
1 heaped tablespoon Bonne Maman caramel
1 heaped tablespoon cacao

Method:

Throw all the ingredients into a blender and whizz on high for 1-2 minutes!
